ADD A UNIQUE TOUCH

Couple's Crest

The couple’s crest is a unique emblem exclusive to Raeesa Studio nikah certificates and wedding products. Our calligrapher begins by hand-composing the bride and groom’s first names from scratch, carefully shaping each letter in Arabic to create a one-of-a-kind crest. This is not a pre-made font or template. Each crest is thoughtfully composed by hand and is entirely unique to the couple. Our calligrapher never recreates the same design, ensuring no two crests are ever alike. Upon request, we can also provide a digital version of the crest, which the couple may use across other wedding details if they wish.

Choose the option when you are filling out the order form when placing an order.

TEXT AND COLOR CHANGES

How much of the text and design color can I change?

If you request any text or color changes, we will send you a text preview for approval before moving forward with production. You may modify as much of the text as you’d like and may also add your own wording, provided space allows. If there is not enough space to accommodate your request, we will let you know. Common text customizations include adding the names of parents or grandparents, including a meaningful quote, or adjusting the duas to reflect what is most special to the couple.

For color changes, we can adjust most of the colors of the florals and motifs in our designs. While there are some limitations, we will always let you know what is possible. Please be as specific as possible when describing your desired colors. Sending hex codes or screenshots of the colors you like is very helpful.

There is a limit of 2 rounds of revisions for text and color changes. Additional revisions beyond this limit are subject to an extra fee.

Marriage Conditions

Marriage conditions are agreed-upon requirements that are included as part of the marriage contract. These conditions outline specific expectations and rights within the marriage. Common examples include a condition that a second wife is not permitted, how matters will be handled in the event of divorce, living arrangements, financial responsibilities, and other mutually agreed terms.

Marriage conditions are added on separate pages that accompany your marriage certificate. These pages are designed to match the certificate exactly, using the same border design, border embellishment, and size you have selected. Each page can accommodate up to five conditions.

What you will receive: the marriage certificate along with 1–3 additional condition pages, depending on what you select. Before production, we will send you a text preview of all condition page text for your approval and for your records.

Groom and Bride Names Style

Groom and Bride Name Styles refer to the font options available specifically for the bride and groom’s names. Delicate Penmanship is the default style shown in all of our photos unless stated otherwise; it resembles elegant, handwritten calligraphy for a soft and refined look. For a more regal feel, Traditional Ornate features a more intricate and decorative style. When designing your certificate, we adjust the size of the bride and groom’s names to be as large and prominent as possible based on the available space.

Islamic Date

The Islamic (Hijri) calendar is lunar-based, meaning the exact date may not be confirmed until the start of the month and is often estimated using various sources. You may choose to confirm the Islamic date through your local mosque, Imam, officiant, or reliable online sources. If you’re completing the order form and are unsure of the Islamic date, you’re welcome to leave it blank and we will fill it in for you using our trusted references.

Please note that if your nikah takes place after Maghrib, it will be recorded as the following day, as the Islamic lunar calendar begins at sunset.

Mahr

A nikah certificate is a document that records an Islamic marriage and is proof that the nikah took place. It includes the names of the bride and groom, witnesses, wali, and corresponding signatures.

Opting to keep your certificate as a keepsake without the Mahr is also a viable choice. Many of our couples choose not to include their Mahr but instead keep it as a memento, honoring the memory of their nikah.

Raeesa Studio Nikah Certificates hold Islamic validity as full Muslim marriage contracts provided that the Mahr is stated on the certificate. You have the flexibility to personalize the Mahr directly on our website once you have selected your preferred design. It is entirely up to you whether or not you wish to include the Mahr on the certificate.
