A written contract may still be required if your masjid, officiant, or local government asks for one for documentation purposes. In Western countries, your officiant will usually bring their own contract documents and may ask you to fill in necessary details for their records. You donโt need to worry about bringing the โcorrectโ nikah papers, as long as you have a qualified and experienced officiant.
